We are venturing out just a little this summer, traveling to different states to see family, but we aren’t planning anything else right now because of all the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic.
I know many of you are also reducing your travel. If you have some lazy summer days ahead, why not at least experience a piece of the world through a book?
I love reading books that either help me to understand a new part of the world or make me want to hop on a plane and experience a new place for myself. Each of these books did one or both of those for me.
These are all true accounts. I hope they inspire you, too!
Malawi: The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind
Nepal: Little Princes
Pakistan: I am Malala
Afghanistan: The Dressmaker of Khair Khana
Israel: A Country Between
Sudan: A Long Walk to Water
And here’s a bonus fiction book just for fun. If you want something a little lighter and want to feel like you’ve just been to Italy for a few days, try this one!
Italy: Love and Gelato
Happy Reading!
